                  Alumni Meet, 2014.

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized Sixth Alumni Meet on May 20, 2014. The Alumni members acquainted the faculty with latest achievements in their career and life. The following office bearers of the Alumni were elected:-

Vice- President – Indu Bala

Cashier – Sudha Malhotra

The Alumni members provided essential feedback to the institution and expressed their appreciation for the experiences they had gained as student-teachers. A cultural get-together was held and the environment was full of life and enjoyment for all. Principal Dr. D.K. Joshi interacted with the Alumni members and gave blessings

PRACTICE TEACHING AT LABOUR SCHOOL

Bowry Memorial Educational & Medical Trust involved its student-teachers in community service i.e. teaching in Labour children school at Bhagat Singh Colony, Maqsudan, is run by Prof. Lakhbir Singh President PAHAL. Labour day was celebrated in this school and student-teachers were divided into different groups to teach the children. This Practice teaching started from May 1, 2014 (Labour Day) and will continue till May 15, 2014.

This was a different kind of experience for the would-be teachers where they got an opportunity to closely interact with children whose parents are working as labourers and the school teachers discussed the methodologies adopted for teaching them. Ex. Director Ms. Aradhana Bowry and staff members urged B.Ed. students to step forward and contribute in realizing the objective of Right to Education (RTE).
