Competitions on the Diwali Eve
The festivities of
Diwali were ushered in by Innocent Hearts College of Education through
Diya-Candle decoration, Rangoli , Best out of waste and cooking competition.
The myriad colours of the intricate rangoli designs create a rainbow of
happiness and decorated with the twinkling diya, gave the school foyer a
festive look.
Student-teachers took
part in the competitions enthusiastically and enjoyed the colours, cheer and
good taste their efforts spreads around. It was a befitting start to a much
loved festival and every one wished the goodness to spread in all corners of
the world.
The whole area was
decorated with the display of decorated diyas and the rangolis incorporated
around them to bring out the best of all the competitions. Student-teachers participated in the
competition and their efforts were lauded by everyone for the sheer spread of
beauty all around. Principal Dr Arjinder Singh congratulated all the participants
about their performance and they explained the main motive behind having all these
competitions was to encourage student-teachers to have an Eco-Friendly Diwali
and they wished them and all their dear ones Peace, Joy and Prosperity of
Diwali.

PUNJABI VIRSA FUNCTION
Innocent Hearts
College of Education, Jalandhar organized Punjabi Virsa function – Akshar Gyan
bahra Balwan on Nov 3, 2017. The student-teachers of Semester I organized the
whole event. They performed an emotional drama with the theme of eradicating
illiteracy and preserving Indian culture and heritage. Folk songs were sung and
self-composed poems were recited. The spirit of patriotism and love for Punjabi
culture was aroused by observing the dance performances of student-teachers and
fancy dress performances. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh congratulated the
student-teachers and explained that Information and Communication Technology can
be a good medium to spread awareness and importance of preserving, promoting
and transmitting Indian culture and heritage. Prizes and titles were bestowed
in the end.

NSS UNIT OF INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION PARTICIPATED IN ‘VOICING FOR VALUES’ MARCH
The
student-teachers and teacher-educators of NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College
of Education, Jalandhar took part in the walk for values which started from
Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar on Oct 28, 2017. The student-teachers
prepared banner, posters and slogans before-hand. They walked briskly with the
spirit of oneness raising slogans to spread values of love, truth, peace,
non-violence and right conduct. Principal
Dr. Arjinder Singh said that in order to fight against social evils, injustice
and corruption, it is necessary for all to take part whole - heartedly in such
events and adopt values of tolerance and harmony. It was organized by Sri
Sathya Sai organisation. A large number of students took part in it with zeal
and enthusiasm, in order to make this world a better place to live in.

First Morning Assembly of B Ed Batch 2017-19
Morning Assembly was organized by teacher students of Sem-1 of B Ed batch 2017-19. The Morning Assembly was based on theme 'Diwali'. The students organized and presented variety of programmes like Speech,
Poetical recitation, Extempore and valuable thoughts on Diwali. Activities like presentation or short documentaries and meditation exercises were commenced. College promotes such activities as it helps in inculcating
certain traits, the moral abilities and skills of would be teachers.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION SEEKS THE BLESSINGS OF THE ALMIGHTY
Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar
organized Hawan on Sept 14, 2017 in order to mark the beginning of the new B.Ed
session 2017-18. Hawan ceremony was also organized to inculcate moral values
and develop respect for Indian culture and heritage among the would-be teachers.
Prayers were recited by members of management, principal, faculty members and
student-teachers. The hawan samagri was offered in the holy fire. Flowers were
showered on the student-teachers. All prayed for the betterment of the society,
peace and harmony. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh motivated the student-teachers
to pursue new goals of success.
