The student-teachers of N.S.S unit of Innocent
Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar started ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ at Govt
Sr. Sec School, Mithapur during their Practice teaching session. The student-
teachers had already planted seedlings before six months in disposable glasses
at the college and these grown saplings were distributed among staff members and
students of the school. Then they planted them in the school at appropriate
places. It was a team work, all student- teachers had worked hard to protect
the sapling and then take the grown plants to the school. The Principal of Govt
Sr. Sec School, Mithapur was pleased with the positive attitude of the
student-teachers which focused on environmental preservation. Dr. Arjinder
Singh, Principal Innocent Hearts College of Education appreciated the efforts
of the student-teachers and said that such activities related to Environmental
Preservation and Awareness are being carried out in all the schools where
practice teaching is going on. He further said that such activities help to
enhance mutual co-operation of the schools with B.Ed. College. So such projects
will be performed in future also.
