Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated the spring harvest festival Baisakhi with the objective of preserving and transferring the rich cultural heritage of Punjab to our would-be teachers. Alumni member Nandini elucidated the religious importance of Baisakhi, when Khalsa Panth was formed in the year 1699 under the leadership of Guru Gobind Singhji, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Dressed up in her traditional garb, student-teacher Luvisha performed Gidda energetically which made the student-teachers experience the feeling of optimism and togetherness. Student-teacher Aastha demonstrated the importance of Baisakhi festival for the Indian farmers with a descriptive poster. Bolis and Tappes were chanted which added to the merriment and amusement.
