 VISIT TO DOORDARSHAN KENDRA

Innocent Hearts College of Education organized an Educational trip to Doordarshan Kendra, Jalandhar on April 26, 2016. The student-teachers got an opportunity to observe the news studios, special event studios, Earth station and transmitter of DD Punjabi. They gained knowledge of satellite communication, terrestrial mode & satellite mode, production and transmission of programmes and analyzed the educational TV telecast for quality and content. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh said that such experiences are beneficial for the would-be teachers for better understanding of ‘Information and Communication Technology’ and quality enhancement.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized Annual Sports Meet on April 23,2016. There was 100% active participation of the students. The main events were 100 mt Race, 200 mt Race, Three-legged Race, Long jump, Shot-Put, Obstacle Race, Sack race and Lemon spoon race. Mother Teresa House was adjudged the best house in the Sports Meet. Mrs. Aradhana Bowry, Executive Director (Colleges) appreciated the student-teachers for their efforts. Principal, Dr.Arjinder Singh gave prizes to the winners and congratulated them.

 ORGANISED PARENTS-TEACHERS MEET

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized Parent-Teachers Meet on   April 22, 2016 for the enhancement of Community-College relationship as well as providing educational, vocational, personal guidance and counseling. The parents interacted with the principal and teachers. Almost all of them were satisfied and happy with the academic effort, co-curricular activities, assessment criteria, rules, regulations and conducive environment of the college. The parents appreciated the Principal and faculty members for their efforts in improving the all-round personality of their ward e.g. optimism, self-discipline and family-like relation in which all are entangled with cords of love and belongingness.

Serve the Society

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION TAKES INITIATIVE TO SERVE THE SOCIETY

In order to help the poor and needy children, NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar motivated the student- teachers to bring objects of daily use from home. Student-Teachers responded actively and brought water-bottles, bags, clothes, tiffins etc. These objects were sent to NGO-GOONJ for the children. Principal, Dr. Arjinder Singh appreciated the efforts made by the student-teachers.

Innocent Hearts College of Education organized an exciting and significant Research workshop entitled ‘Preparation Of Research Proposal’ for M.Ed. students on March 14, 2016. The speaker of the workshop was Dr. Tirath Singh, Principal, Sacred Hearts College of Education, Barnala. There were many mind provoking sessions along with the discussion and information was given for clarity of research proposal.

 ORGANISED EXTENSION LECTURE

 

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized Extension lecture on March 9, 2016 in order to enhance proficiency in the Communication Skills of the student-teachers. The speaker Mr. Keshav Jain, Director Work Solutions (HR Consultation Company, Panchkula) gave an interesting lecture on ‘Winning Communication’. Interaction session, games, PPT, question-answer session etc were organized for better understanding of the concept. Principal, Dr. Arjinder Singh explained that such extension lectures are essential for developing the basic life skills among the student-teachers for succeeding in life.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

International Women’s day was celebrated at Innocent Hearts College of Education on March 8, 2016. The student-teachers presented PPTs on the achievements of women, poems and slogans on women empowerment were recited, games, quiz competition etc were also organized. Asst. Prof. Dr. Randeep Randhawa highlighted the importance and role of women. Asst. Prof. Dr. Binderjit Kaur recited a poem on the plight of women in society.

Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh motivated the students to fight against social evils like dowry system, female feticide, child marriage etc. Executive Director (colleges) BMEMT, Mrs. Aradhana Bowry appreciated the efforts of the student-teachers.
