Sports Day Celebration 2012

Sports day was celebrated in the college campus on February 22, 2012. The students participated in various games. First, Second and Third prizes are given in each game. The students enjoyed a lot. The prizes were given by Dr. D. K. Joshi and Mrs. Usha Joshi.

Rules for Chalk board Writing



1.      Host team will not participate.
2.      Each college will send maximum three participantsfor each language (Hindi, Punjabi and English)
3.      10 minutes will be given to each participant.
4.      Helper is not allowed.
5.      Students will have to bring the required material of their own.
6.      Students are not allowed to use any kind of stencils.
7.      Decision of judges will be final.
8.      No participation fee will be charged.
9.      Student will not be allowed to carry any written text or diagram etc.
10. In each language, 3 position holders will be awarded.
11.Overall trophy will be given to team only.

Rules for the Quiz



1.      Host College will not participate in the Competition.
2.      Each College will send a team comprised of 3 B. Ed. Students.
3.      M. Ed. Students are not allowed to participate in the Quiz.
4.      The quiz will be from five compulsory papers viz. Education and Development, Contemporary Issues in Indian Education, Understanding Learner and the Learning process, Learning Resources and Assessment of Learning, and School Management; and question papers of Punjab TET 2011.
5.      There will be a written Preliminary Round of 40 Questions and 40 minutes duration.
6.      The Preliminary Round will consist of 5 questions from each compulsory paper and 10 questions from the question papers of Punjab TET 2011.
7.      Top four teams will be selected for Final Quiz.
8.      There will be Four rounds namely MCQ, Definition, Picture, Completion for each compulsory paper and two rounds of TET (MCQ Type).
9.      25 seconds will be given for each question to answer.
10.  First, Second and Third Prizes will be given.

Lectures at Sidana College of Education

Our College has signed a MoU with Sidana Institute of Education, Amritsar for faculty exchange. In this process Dr. Tirath Singh and Dr. Arjinder Singh visited the college on February 22, 2012. Dr. Tirath Singh delivered a lecture on
LEARNING AS CONSTRUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE AS DIFFERENT FROM LEARNING AS TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION OF KNOWLEDGE.

Conference at Rangarhia College of Educaiton

A UGC sponsored national conference on mathematics education was organised at Ramgarhia College of Education, Phagwara on February 15-16, 2012.
The title of the conference was
RECENT ADVANCES AD METHODS IN MATHEMATICS EDUCATION.
Dr. Arjinder Singh participated in the conference and presented a paper on the topic
ACHIEVEMENT IN MATHEMATICS IN RELATION TO MATHEMATICAL CREATIVITY AND GENDER.
I was also assigned the duty to chair one Technical session.
Ms. Pavneet Kaur, Student of Mathematics Education at the College also presented a paper on the topic
LEVELS OF STUDENTS' CREATIVE THINKING
It was a very good Conference. I Congratulate Principal Dr. Mrs. Surinderjit Kaur, and Dr. Yogesh Sharma of Ramgarhia College of education for the success of their Conference.

In Continuation to the exchange programme started by our college, an exchange session was organised with OPM Institute of Education, Dyalpur. In this series Dr. Tirath Singh Visited that college and Mr. Vinod Kumar visited our Institute on Feburary 8, 2012.

Participation in World Wet Land Day

World Wet Land Day was celebrated by PAHAL on February 2, 2012 at Kanjli, Karpurthla. Seven students from our college participated in the debate and Declamation contest.

Extension Lecture on Cumulative Record Cards
