INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, JALANDHAR CELEBRATED REPUBLIC DAY VIRTUALLY

 


The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated virtual Republic day for reviving the spirit of nationalism and for paying tribute to the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives to behold the face of free Mother India. Patriotic solo singing competition was organized on the theme of ‘Rich cultural heritage of India’ in which Nandini achieved first prize. Sakshi Thakur danced very gracefully on the song beats of 'Ae Watan, Mere Watan’, she bagged first prize in Patriotic dance competition.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, JALANDHAR CELEBRATED VIRTUAL LOHRI FESTIVAL


Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated Online Lohri festival for enriching the traditional punjabi customs and for inculcating the values of togetherness, chivalry, purity and for spreading love and joy. Virtual Cultural Programme started with online dance and singing ‘Tappe’ competitions. By listening to the online legendary tales depicting acts of bravery, the feelings of sacrifice, valour and patriotism were reinforced amongst the student-teachers. Online Collage-making competition was also organized on the theme of ‘Significance of Lohri for Punjabi farmers’ and ‘Punjabi cuisine and customs followed on this day’. Aashna Kaur and Preeti achieved first prize in Collage-making competition. Sakshi Thakur bagged first prize in folk dance competition. Vishali Arora grabbed first prize in folk song competition. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh highlighted the importance of celebrating Lohri. He said that the people worship the sun god and the fire and thank them for the good harvest. The social evils and any negative feelings should also be burnt in the bonfire.

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar welcomed the New Year 2022 with merriment and gaiety.


Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated new year’s eve with the title ‘A Sparkling Happy New Year - 2022’ incorporating the theme ‘Happiness is not measured by what you hold in your hands, but by what you hold in your heart.’

In order to enhance the creativity, imagination and language skills amongst the student-teachers, digital card-making competition, decoration contest and language games were organized. 

The whole campus was decorated creatively with twinkling colourful lights and greenery. The event started with a prayer ceremony in which all prayed to the almighty for being blessed with peace, prosperity, wisdom, well-being and freedom from all the variants of Covid-19 and other diseases.  Some student-teachers expressed their views through mesmerizing songs and self-composed poems. New year resolutions were taken. Beautiful digital cards were created and shared by student-teachers.

The celebration continued with best wishes and blessings from the Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh and faculty members. Jyotika achieved first prize in decoration contest.  Shakshi Thakur and Vishali Arora achieved first prize in Digital card making competition. Purvi Kalra bagged first prize for organising tongue twisters which added fun to the jovial environment. All wished each other peace, harmony, wholeness, prosperity; physical, mental and spiritual well-being in the coming year and in the years to come.
