INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION JALANDHAR GRABS THE LIMELIGHT WITH OUTSTANDING RESULT

All the student-teachers of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar brought accolades home by achieving 100 % First divisions in the result of GNDU B.Ed. Examination Sem-IV (May – 2020). The college has always focused on providing qualitative education which is clearly reflected by the academic performance of student-teachers. In the aggregate result of B.Ed. session, 16 student-teachers have achieved distinctions. Nishitha Chopra bagged first position in the college, Priyanka Tandon achieved second position in the college and Rijul got third position in the college.





Nishitha expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the almighty, parents and teachers. She said "This would not have been possible without constant emotional support from my parents. Teachers have always provided their able guidance and timely motivation which led to this academic achievement."Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the examination was held in blended online- offline mode. The results were long-awaited but the achievers were very happy with their result, they thanked Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh and all the faculty members for providing individual attention and for instilling positivity in them. The members of Management, Principal and faculty members congratulated the student-teachers for their brilliant performances and they also motivated all the student-teachers to succeed further with more willpower and determination.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, JALANDHAR ORGANIZED ONE- WEEK ONLINE ANTI-CRACKER ECO-FRIENDLY FESTIVITIES ON THE EVE OF DIWALI


Innocent Hearts College of Education organized an Online ‘Anti-cracker and Anti-plastic’ week on the eve of Diwali with the aim of propagating the message of celebrating eco-friendly Diwali and spreading awareness about the ill-effects caused by pollutants emitted from the bursting of crackers and burning plastic. Keeping our environment clean and green is very important and Diwali is the best time to decorate our houses and surroundings. On the first day ‘Toran-making creativeness’ competition and Rangoli competition with the theme of “the triumph of good over evil” and “Goddess Lakshmi Rangoli designs for Diwali” were organized in which Gurjot and Divya bagged first prize respectively.





On the second day the student-teachers and teacher-educators pledged that they would never make use of plastic bags which are a major source of pollution, instead they creatively prepared attractive Diwali gift packages with waste paper material. Slogan writing competition with pictures on theme of “This Diwali burst your ego not crackers” was organized on the third day. Palak achieved first prize by artistically writing the slogan -“Let's fill our minds and homes with lights and flowers. Not explosives and fumes”. Diya decoration and poster-making competitions were organized on the fourth day.




 Next two days the student-teachers visited their neighbourhood and explained to their neighbours the various ways to celebrate green Diwali. On the last day online talk was organized in which the student-teachers discussed their experiences of neighbourhood visits.



Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh in his speech said that the main motive of these events was to spread the message of celebrating Eco-friendly and peaceful Diwali. He further explained to the student-teachers that the light should be illuminated from within each of us to follow the path of righteousness by overcoming our weaknesses and evil thoughts.

Celebrated National Unity Day

 The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated Online National Unity Day to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and to nurture the student-teachers to preserve our national unity and foster international integrity.

A pledge taking ceremony was organised in which the faculty members and student-teachers took pledge to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation INDIA and also strive hard to spread this message among their fellow countrymen. Online cultural solo singing and solo dance performances were organised on this occasion on the theme of 'Unity in Deversity'. Nishitha sang the patriotic song 'Salaam India, jhuke  tere aage sar' with great zeal and fervous. Chahat of Sem-IV danced very gracefully on the song beats of 'Mera Des Rangeela'

Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh in his speech highlighted the importance of unity by explaining that unity is strength and the onus of keeping India united is on the shoulders of our student-teachers i.e. would-be teachers.
