ONE WEEK ANTI-CRACKER & ANTI-PLASTIC CAMPAIGN ON THE EVE OF DIWALI




Innocent Hearts College of Education organized one week anti-cracker and anti-plastic campaign in the various teaching practice schools of Jalandhar district- Royal World School, R.K. Memorial School, Lyallpur Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Innocent Hearts School Loharan, Innocent Hearts School and the College campus at Green Model Town Jalandhar.
The theme of this campaign was to spread awareness about the ill-effects and health hazards caused by pollutants emitted from the bursting of crackers and burning plastic. Processions were taken out in the nearby villages to spread awareness of the harmful effects of crackers, student-teachers and school students uttered slogans conveying the message to Go Green.

The student-teachers also pledged that they would never make use of plastic bags which are the major source of pollution, instead they creatively prepared attractive Diwali gift packages with waste paper material. Various competitions like Diya/candle decoration, Rangoli competition and Gift bag preparation competitions were organized. The whole college campus sparkled with twinkling diyas and colourful floral designs. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh encouraged the participants and said that the main motive of this one week campaign was to celebrate Eco-friendly and peaceful Diwali.

TALENT HUNT–‘PARICHAY 2019’




Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized Talent Hunt on 3rd& 4thOct, 2019 in order to bring out the hidden abilities of the student-teachers and help them realize their individual worth.
Rangoli, poster making, painting still life, slogan writing, collage making competitions were organized on 3rd Oct 2019. The college campus was nicely decorated with colour ful rangoli designs and aesthetic paintings.
On Oct 4, 2019 all the student-teachers actively participated in stage items –declamation, poetical symposium, costume parade, solo song, solo dance, group dance and group song in the college auditorium. The audience was spell bound with the energetic solo dance performances of the student-teachers. The atmosphere was filled with melody and rhythm during solo song performances. Group dance items added cultural flavour to the whole event. The judgement was done keeping in mind the rules and criteria set for each item.
Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh appreciated the student-teachers for making the event a memorable one and congratulated the winners.He further added that the purpose of this ‘Talent hunt’ was to enhance the sportsmanship spirit among the student-teachers and to develop their overall personality.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, JALANDHAR PIOUSLY COMMENCED NEW PUPILS WITH HAWAN CEREMONY



Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized Hawan Ceremony at the outset of the new academic session to seek the blessings of the almighty and to welcome the students with tranquil positive vibrations. Puja was performed devotedly by the members of Management, Principal, faculty members and students under divine fervour and spirituality.
An Orientation Programme was organized in which the new entrants were acquainted with the rules, regulations and curriculum of the B.Ed. Programme. They were reminded of the fact that great teaching is more than a handful of teaching tricks strung together with modest aims and sufficient expertise.
The members of Management bestowed their blessings on the students. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh motivated the students and said that prayers help to refine our souls by warding off negativity, hatred, jealousy and the motive of these prayers was to let evils burn in the holy flames of fire. The message that spirituality and excellence go hand in hand was imparted.
