Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar Climbed Up the Ladder of Success once again.

 

All the student-teachers of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar reached up to the topmost position of victory by achieving First Divisions in the GNDU B.Ed. Sem III Examination (Dec 2021) Result. More than twenty-six percentage student-teachers have attained Distinctions.

Shikha Sanan achieved First position in the college with 80.57% marks, Ankita Suri bagged Second position with 78.57% marks, Komal Verma as well as Harneet Kaur grabbed Third position in the college with 78.28% marks and Deeksha as well as Amanpreet Kaur attained Fourth position in the college with 78% marks.

Shikha Sanan thankfully said, “I attribute my success to my hard-working friendly Teachers, Respected Principal Sir who are very helpful and down to earth and above all, the Supreme Power - God. They all motivated me to work hard and put in maximum efforts to get good marks”. Ankita Suri added, "This would not have been possible without constant emotional support from my parents. Teachers have always provided their able guidance and timely motivation which led to this academic achievement."

The Members of Management, Executive Director (Colleges) Mrs. Aradhana Bowry, Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh and Faculty members congratulated the student-teachers for achieving Excellent result. Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized ‘World No Tobacco Day’

The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized ‘World no Tobacco day’ under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Program based on the theme ‘Tobacco is killing us and our Planet; it is a threat to our Environment’. Pledge-taking ceremony was organized as per the guidelines received from Ministry of Education.

The fact that tobacco kills over 8 million people every year and destroys our environment by harming human health through its cultivation, production, distribution, consumption and post-consumer waste was displayed through descriptive Blackboard Writings by the student- teachers.

The NSS volunteer Sakshi Thakur achieved first position and Vishali Arora bagged second position in Skill of Blackboard writing competition.

The student- teachers made vivid posters to spread the message - Commit to Quit. Sakshi Thakur and Vishali Arora achieved first position and Gaganpreet Kaur as well as Nandini Luthra bagged second position in Poster making competition. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh told the student-teachers to be alert about their social surroundings and not to taste anything without knowing what it is. He further added that tobacco and alcohol are often referred to as Gateway Drugs, as they are amongst the first substances consumed by adolescents. So he motivated the would-be teachers to spread awareness amongst the school students regarding the ill-effects of these poisonous substances.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION JALANDHAR PROVES TO BE THE ABLEST NAVIGATOR OF EDUCATION ONCE AGAIN.

 

The student-teachers of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar achieved 100% First divisions in the result of GNDU B.Ed. Sem-I Examination (Dec - 2021). Fifty percent student –teachers’ grabbed distinctions and twenty – five percent student – teachers achieved more than 80% marks. 

Hitu Sharda, Inderjit Kaur and Kirandeep Kaur achieved First position in the College with 86.52% marks. Nandini Luthra and Deepanshi Seth bagged Second position with 86.31% marks, Preeti attained Third position in the College with 85.47% marks and Jyotika got Fourth position in the college with 85.26% marks. Hitu Sharda’s Father attributed his daughter’s  success to the democratic environment of the college,  co-operative Principal and helpful teachers. Deepanshi Seth said, “I owe my success to people who believed in me and gave me a chance to prove myself, through times of failure and times of success; when I look back far enough, it’s my parents who dedicated their love and raised me. The teachers that made the difficult roads seem easier. Its only because of their hard work that I am at this point of my life. Even earlier than that, I owe gratitude to the Creator who bestowed on me this gift of life.”

Executive Director (Colleges), Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical trust, Mrs. Aradhana Bowry appreciated the attainment made by the student-teachers. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh motivated the student- teachers to continue to put in more effort and work whole-heartedly in the next semester too. The members of Management, Principal and faculty members congratulated all the student-teachers for their brilliant result. All would-be teachers felt victorious and thanked their mentors.

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated the Baisakhi festival

 

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated the spring harvest festival Baisakhi in order to inculcate the values of team work, co-operation, liveliness, optimism, togetherness amongst the would-be teachers, for spreading the message of ‘work is worship’ and for making the student-teachers experience the joyful feeling of spreading love and happiness. 

Dressed up in their colourful finery the student-teachers, Vishali Arora and Sakshi Thakur performed Gidda and Bhangra with the bang rhythmically along with the dhol beats. The student-teachers Nandini Luthra and Pooja Ghosh elucidated the importance of Baisakhi festival for the Indian farmers through their eloquent speeches. Bolis and Tappes were also chanted by the student-teachers in Punjabi language which added to the merriment and amusement.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, JALANDHAR STEERED THE GUIDING LIGHT OF EDUCATION ONCE AGAIN

 

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar leads the guiding light of education with better performances each year, which is clearly reflected this year too in the result of GNDU B.Ed. Examination Sem-II (May – 2021). Out of 45 student-teachers, 39 student-teachers have achieved Distinctions and 43 student-teachers have grabbed First division. 

Nargis Jaitwani, Kritika Maggo, Mitali Rana, Neha Goswami, Shikha Sanan, Ankita Suri, Palak and Tanu Arora achieved First position in the college with 86.73% marks. Gunpreet Kaur bagged second position with 85.68% marks, Doras Malhotra attained third position with 85.26% marks, Amanpreet Kaur and Komal Verma grabbed fourth position with 84.84% marks.

The meritorious students attributed their success to their parents, teachers and the environment of the college. Gunpreet Kaur said “Achieving the second position means a lot to me because I prepared really hard for this examination. It would be wrong to take all the credit myself because that way I would be ignoring the efforts put in by my teachers and family. I am so blessed to have diligent and motivating teachers.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ORGANISED TALENT HUNT

 Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar under the aegis of DISHA an initiative by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical trust organized Talent Hunt-2022 on the theme of ‘Go Green’ and ‘Say no to plastic’. The student-teachers actively participated in literary items- Elocution, Debate and Poetical Symposium and artistic items – Painting, Poster making and Slogan writing. In order to cultivate the teaching skills amongst the student-teachers ‘Skill of Blackboard writing’ and ‘Best out of waste’ competitions were organized in which the student-teachers learnt the art of writing legibly and making creative teaching aids with waste material respectively. The atmosphere was filled with sentiments and harmony during the Solo Song performances of the student-teachers. The audience was spell bound with the energetic Indian Classical Dance and Folk Dance performances of the student-teachers. Participation in these activities aimed at bringing out the hidden aptitudes of the student- teachers and in helping them to realize their individual worth. The judgement was done keeping in mind the rules and criteria set for each item. Executive Director (Colleges) BMEMT, Mrs. Aradhana Bowry bestowed gifts upon the achievers. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh boosted the morale of participants, gave prizes and certificates to the winners.

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated International Mother Tongue day.

 The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated ‘Maa Boli Divas’ with the objective to enrich and preserve the purity and glory of Punjabi language and culture.

A pledge taking ceremony was organized in which the educators and student-teachers swore to protect, preserve and transmit their mother tongue for the coming generations in its pure form and to impart their mother tongue by integrating it with culture.

Online Slogan writing and Poster-making competitions were also organized. Through their artistic posters,  the student-teachers depicted their love and respect for their mother tongue. Sakshi Thakur and Vishali Arora bagged first prize and Vasudha Khanna achieved second prize in poster making competition. A plethora of slogan writings highlighted the significance and present day relevance of Punjabi language. Nandini Luthra achieved first prize, Gaganpreet Kaur won second prize and Megha Sharma bagged third prize in slogan writing competition.

Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh congratulated the winners and appreciated all the participants for their brilliant demonstrations. Certificates were given to all the participants.

 

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated Basant Panchami virtually.

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated Basant Panchami by organising culinary competition and kite-flying competition. These activities were aimed to enhance creativity, critical thinking power  and develop aesthetic sense as well as technicality among the student-teachers. 

In their Basanti attires, the student-teachers whole-heartedly participated in the kite-flying activity. Vishali Arora bagged first prize in kite-flying, she said that ‘It was a stress-relieving experience for me. I imagined myself soaring high up in the sky along with my kite.’

To enhance the culinary skills of the student-teachers, yellow dish-making activity was organised in which scrumptious dishes were prepared and the recipe was  shared online by the participants. Execution, appearance, texture and confidence were the parameters used for judgement. Nandini Luthra and Preeti achieved first prize and Aashna and Vishali Arora bagged second prize in Yellow dish-making competition. These activities also helped the student-teachers to improve their  presentation skills. 

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated World Wetlands day

 

The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar under the aegis of DISHA-an initiative by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical trust celebrated World Wetlands day with the theme - ‘Wetlands Action for People and Nature’. 

Various online activities were organised to raise awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and planet and the immense need of restoring wetlands. NSS volunteer Vishali Arora achieved first prize for  disseminating the message of valuing, managing, restoring and loving wetlands through her realistic paintings. Preeti and Vishali Arora bagged first prize in Orizuru competition by creatively  crafting migratory birds symbolising the importance of  wetlands in  saving the lives of many endangered species. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh, NSS Programme officer Ms. Tarunjyoti Kaur and all the NSS volunteers took an online pledge to take necessary steps for restoring, conserving and using wetlands sustainably.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, JALANDHAR CELEBRATED REPUBLIC DAY VIRTUALLY

 

The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated virtual Republic day for reviving the spirit of nationalism and for paying tribute to the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives to behold the face of free Mother India. Patriotic solo singing competition was organized on the theme of ‘Rich cultural heritage of India’ in which Nandini achieved first prize. Sakshi Thakur danced very gracefully on the song beats of 'Ae Watan, Mere Watan’, she bagged first prize in Patriotic dance competition.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, JALANDHAR CELEBRATED VIRTUAL LOHRI FESTIVAL

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated Online Lohri festival for enriching the traditional punjabi customs and for inculcating the values of togetherness, chivalry, purity and for spreading love and joy. Virtual Cultural Programme started with online dance and singing ‘Tappe’ competitions. By listening to the online legendary tales depicting acts of bravery, the feelings of sacrifice, valour and patriotism were reinforced amongst the student-teachers. Online Collage-making competition was also organized on the theme of ‘Significance of Lohri for Punjabi farmers’ and ‘Punjabi cuisine and customs followed on this day’. Aashna Kaur and Preeti achieved first prize in Collage-making competition. Sakshi Thakur bagged first prize in folk dance competition. Vishali Arora grabbed first prize in folk song competition. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh highlighted the importance of celebrating Lohri. He said that the people worship the sun god and the fire and thank them for the good harvest. The social evils and any negative feelings should also be burnt in the bonfire.

                                                          

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar welcomed the New Year 2022 with merriment and gaiety.

Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated new year’s eve with the title ‘A Sparkling Happy New Year - 2022’ incorporating the theme ‘Happiness is not measured by what you hold in your hands, but by what you hold in your heart.’

In order to enhance the creativity, imagination and language skills amongst the student-teachers, digital card-making competition, decoration contest and language games were organized. 

The whole campus was decorated creatively with twinkling colourful lights and greenery. The event started with a prayer ceremony in which all prayed to the almighty for being blessed with peace, prosperity, wisdom, well-being and freedom from all the variants of Covid-19 and other diseases.  Some student-teachers expressed their views through mesmerizing songs and self-composed poems. New year resolutions were taken. Beautiful digital cards were created and shared by student-teachers.

The celebration continued with best wishes and blessings from the Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh and faculty members. Jyotika achieved first prize in decoration contest.  Shakshi Thakur and Vishali Arora achieved first prize in Digital card making competition. Purvi Kalra bagged first prize for organising tongue twisters which added fun to the jovial environment. All wished each other peace, harmony, wholeness, prosperity; physical, mental and spiritual well-being in the coming year and in the years to come.
