Innocent Hearts College of Education organized an exciting and significant Research workshop entitled ‘Preparation Of Research Proposal’ for M.Ed. students on March 14, 2016. The speaker of the workshop was Dr. Tirath Singh, Principal, Sacred Hearts College of Education, Barnala. There were many mind provoking sessions along with the discussion and information was given for clarity of research proposal.

 ORGANISED EXTENSION LECTURE
 
Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized Extension lecture on March 9, 2016 in order to enhance proficiency in the Communication Skills of the student-teachers. The speaker Mr. Keshav Jain, Director Work Solutions (HR Consultation Company, Panchkula) gave an interesting lecture on ‘Winning Communication’. Interaction session, games, PPT, question-answer session etc were organized for better understanding of the concept. Principal, Dr. Arjinder Singh explained that such extension lectures are essential for developing the basic life skills among the student-teachers for succeeding in life.

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY


International Women’s day was celebrated at Innocent Hearts College of Education on March 8, 2016. The student-teachers presented PPTs on the achievements of women, poems and slogans on women empowerment were recited, games, quiz competition etc were also organized. Asst. Prof. Dr. Randeep Randhawa highlighted the importance and role of women. Asst. Prof. Dr. Binderjit Kaur recited a poem on the plight of women in society.
Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh motivated the students to fight against social evils like dowry system, female feticide, child marriage etc. Executive Director (colleges) BMEMT, Mrs. Aradhana Bowry appreciated the efforts of the student-teachers.

Innocent Hearts College of Education organized Guidance and Counselling Session at Govt. Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Nakodar Chowk, Jalandhar on March 9, 2016.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Binderjit Kaur gave a motivating extension lecture on ‘Responsibilities of Citizens for Sustainable Development’. Asst. Prof. Mrs. Ravneet Kaur provided career guidance to the students for availing various opportunities in their future.

Innocent Hearts College of Education organized Educational visit to Gandhi Vanita Ashram

 

The NSS Department of Innocent Hearts College of Education organized an Educational trip to Gandhi Vanita Ashram on March 5, 2016. The Students-Teacher got an opportunity to interact with the ashram community and gain experience of the teaching methods and equipment used there. Ass. Prof. Dr. Binderjit Kaur and Ass. Prof. Ms. Tarunjyoti Kaur prepared a research questionnaire related to interest and attitude of the students in the ashram and got it filled from them. Dramatization on good habits, meditation, motivational songs etc. were presented by the student-teachers of the college. Convocation, 2016

 

Convocation Programme was organized at Innocent Hearts College of Education on Feb 26, 2016. Prof. R.K Mahajan, Dean, College Development Council, GNDU, Amritsar was the Chief Guest of the day. Among those present were Dr. Anup Bowry, Secretary (BMEMT), Dr. Chander Bowry, Finance Secretary (BMEMT), Mrs. Shally and Mrs. Aradhana (Executive Directors), Principals, faculty members and other guests from various institutions.

There was lamp lighting ceremony followed by the welcome address and report presented by Principal, Dr.Arjinder Singh and the Convocation Address was delivered by the Chief Guest.  In his address, Prof. R.K Mahajan highlighted the role of a teacher in the present scenario, the challenges and social concerns he/she is expected to deal with. Special certificates, degrees and medals were given. Degrees were conferred upon more than 200 passed-out graduates. Awards were given to University Merit Position Holders.

Mementos were given to honour the guests present. Cultural Programme related to self-realization was organized by Dr. Binderjit Kaur which made the atmosphere exuberant. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Randeep Randhawa.






 

Alumni Meet 2016 at Innocent Hearts College of Education


Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar is organizing its Convocation to confer degrees on passed- out graduates on Feb 26, 2016. Prof. R.K. Mahajan, Dean, College Development Council, GNDU, Amritsar will be the Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation Address.

On the eve of Convocation, Sixth Alumni Meet was organized on Feb 24, 2016. The Alumni members acquainted the faculty with latest achievements in their career and life. The following office bearers of the Alumni were elected:-

Vice- President – Payal

Secretary – Nidhi Sehgal

The Alumni members provided essential feedback and expressed their admiration for the institution. A cultural get-together was organized which filled the atmosphere with amusement. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh interacted with the Alumni members and gave them best wishes for future.

CELEBRATION OF ‘BASANT FESTIVAL’ IN

INNOCENT HEARTS COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

 

In order to preserve Punjabi culture and heritage, ‘Basant Festival’ was celebrated in Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar on Feb. 12, 2016. With great zeal and vigor. Almost all the students participated in competitions like – Kite Flying, Snacks Preparation, Dessert Preparation, Yellow Dish Preparation, Singing, Dancing and Modeling. The students as well as the Staff were dressed in yellow coloured clothes. Different groups got prizes in Yellow Dish and Dessert Preparation Competitions. Fun games and dances were enjoyed by one and all. Mrs Aradhana Bowry, The Executive Director of College addressed the students and highlighted that this festival symbolizes change, change in season from winter to colourful spring, thus inspiring the individual to strive for prosperity. Officiating Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged the students to perform with the same spirit in the coming future also. The entire show was colourful and full of fun and frolic.

Innocent Hearts College of Education shows its flair again in Zonal Youth Festival (GNDU)

The students of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar grabbed prizes in the Zonal Youth Festival held at GNDU, Amritsar on October 3, 4 & 5, 2015. Manisha got First Position in Poetical Symposium and Second Position in Folk Song.Varinder Kaur grabbed Second Position in Fancy Dress. Geetu and Neha Mehta got Third position in Debate.      Shina Thukral grabbed Third prize in Collage making and Parul Sethi got Third Position in Gazal. The Management, Principal and faculty members congratulated the winners and appreciated all the participants for their hard work.

Certificates were given to the winners and participants of Talent Search “PARICHAY-2015”.
