Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar enthralled in festivities


Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized Mehandi design and Nail art competitions as Karwa chauth festivities are around the corner. These competitions were organized on the theme of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ with the aim to showcase the rich culture, heritage, traditions and customs of all states, for enabling people to appreciate and understand India’s diversity, thus fostering a sense of shared identity.
The power of an Indian woman, her beauty, simplicity, grace were all glorified with the traditional art form of Heena design applications. The students-teachers made symbolic designs of mehandi art form on each other’s palms. They made pairs and enjoyed the creative activity of nail art by painting, decorating, enhancing and embellishing nails. This way vocational skill-based education was provided to the students through experiential learning and in a play-way method.
Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh congratulated the winners and encouraged the participants by giving certificates to all of them. Pragya and Roshni achieved first position and Medhavi grabbed second position in Mehandi design competition. Diksha achieved first position in nail art competition.
